ROTYPACK Ketchup Packaging Line Handles Processing Difficulties of High‑Viscosity Materials

Date:Aug 24, 2026

ROTYPACK High viscosity sauce packaging commonly meets industrywide issues including material hanging, stringing, seal contamination and material stratification. These issues affect finished pouch appearance and sealing reliability, and extend cleaning downtime. The ketchup packaging solution developed by Rotypack is built on horizontal premade pouch machine framework for thick sauce materials such as ketchup.

All material touching parts adopt 316L stainless steel to satisfy food grade production standards. The piston volumetric filling unit is fitted with anti-drip shear valve to cut material stringing upon discharge and reduce pouch opening contamination. Material backflow buffer at filling station mitigates metering fluctuation caused by sauce stratification, keeping filling tolerance within ±1g.

The machine supports stand up pouches, flat pouches and zipper pouches. Operating speed ranges from 25 to 55 pouches per minute, with adjustable pouch size from 85×130mm to 260×340mm. Multi stage temperature control is arranged for heat sealing stations, and pre cleaning mechanism for pouch openings addresses seal contamination risks. Quick format changeover is achievable; material paths and contact parts can be disassembled and rinsed without extensive tools. It can connect with upstream sauce preparation units and downstream case packing equipment to realize continuous plant production.
